For this year’s orientation Jen and Natalie are planning on having the 10th graders hike up Flattop on Thursday August 20th.  This will be a rewarding experience to kick off the new year.  We will plan on leaving Steller by bus by 8:45.  Please have your student here at the normal start time of 8:30 so that we can check everyone in for the activity.  We are planning to hike regardless of weather conditions, your child should wear a sturdy pair of tennis shoes, warm layers, and possibly a rain coat.  Also, they should bring a light snack and water for the hike.  We will be returning to Steller in time for lunch.  Please download the permission slip and have your child return it on Wednesday August 19th.  If you are able to join us or have any other questions or concerns please email Jen at strauss_jennifer@asdk12.org or Natalie at foley_natalie@asdk12.org.
