The American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) is holding it’s annual National Engineers’ Week Student Competitions Saturday, February 21, 2009 at UAA beginning at 10am. Students of all ages are invited to compete in Bridge, Airplane, Egg Drop, Floatable Moatable, and Shake & Break events. They will also be offering a public viewing of the PBS documentary – Liquid Assets Monday, February 16, 2009; 6:30-8:30pm at the Wilda Marston Theater, Loussac Library. They would like to invite students and parents, to this event, as it is for community outreach, it will be free to the public. They will have a panel discussion at the end of the documentary, for a Q & A session with the audience.
