The Steller community has been approached by a local business to provide lunches for our students.  The business, Root Down is currently serving Aquarian Charter school,  Winterberry, Rilke Schule, Pacific Northern Academy and Anchorage Montessori.

Lunches are $5.50 if ordered in advance and $6 if ordered the same day before 9 a.m.  They make an effort to use locally available food, organic when possible, and offer a variety of well balanced, portion appropriate meals.  Vegetarian options can be ordered as well.  Packaging is corn based and more landfill friendly than most (and, in other warmer climates, even biodegradable).

A brief survey will be posted shortly, asking whether or not you and your students are interested in having nutritious lunches delivered to Steller by Root Down Catering.  The more people respond, the better gauge we will have on whether we want to take advantage of this opportunity.
