We are seeking a host family for 4-5 months starting in January for Kareem Risha from Palestine.  He is at Steller through  the PAX exchange program, funded by the US State Department, to allow kids from Moslem countries to experience life in America.  He is a smart and polite and has adjusted amazingly well to life in Alaska.  His English is excellent,  he plays soccer and wants to try everything he can  during his stay here.   He plays with the West Tennis team and wants to ski on the ski team.  We have committed to host him through mid January and for the second half of his stay would be flexible in hosting him when his new family is vacationing or otherwise in need of help.  Kareem is the seventh student we have hosted and have had a good experience each time. If you have younger kids in the house the students are like big brothers and sisters.  Our daughter, Kaylin, was an exchange student two years ago and our son, Noah, will be one next year as well.
