A giant BBQ thank-you to all the volunteers who helped to set up, grill, straighten, and clean up at the Steller Back to School BBQ on August 26. Thanks also, to all who attended, and to those who brought a pot luck dish. The food was wonderful—the community participation phenomenal.
As mentioned at the All Community Meeting that night, we are planning a “Kitchen Kleanup†& Purge on Saturday, September 11, beginning at 10:00 am. We are looking for several parent volunteers to help sort through, the old contents of the kitchen cupboards. Everything was boxed up for storage over the summer for the kitchen renovation. We need to clean, sort, and inventory what is in working order, or usable condition, and discard the rest.
I’ll bring doughnuts, and if we come across a working coffeepot during the purge, we’ll have coffee also. Hope to see you at Steller on Saturday.
