High School ASRA is an intensive, DAY ONLY two-week learning experience for students with an interest in science, technology, engineering and math. Students study one subject (module), work in small teams, and participate in project based learning in a college-like environment.  No housing is provided; however, some modules take students off campus for portions of the ASRA experience to engage in field work.

Module sizes are small with an average of ten students and two instructors. Our instructors are faculty, graduate students and industry professionals. There are no grades, tests or homework. Modules are designed to be fun and engaging while offering challenging content. Past module subjects include Biomedicine, Veterinary Medicine, Field Geology, GIS, Remotely Operated Vehicles, Civil Engineering, and others. APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN, AND ARE DUE MARCH 31, 2015.

In its 14th year, admission to ASRA is competitive. Students who apply must complete an essay, provide references and show evidence of sincere interest in participation.
