Getting Involved/Volunteers

Current Volunteer Opportunities, 2024-25:

  •  Cups for Kids Fundraiser: On October 8th, 9th, & 10th, help students bring coffee, cocoa, and a QR code for donations to cars during drop-off and pick-up. 

    • SIGN UP HERE.  Volunteers are needed to make this event happen! There are still many spots that need to be filled! Please consider volunteering…and ask your student(s) to volunteer with you! 
    • This annual fundraiser supports programs that directly benefit students and staff.

  • Come to Steller Parent Group Meetings

    • SPG meets the second Tuesday of each month from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  As Maria says “ It’s crucial that your voice is heard as we make decisions for the future of Steller.” Agendas include:
      • reports from the Principle, Staff, and OP Group
      • approve Requests for Funding 
      • plan community events
      • get to know the inner workings at Steller, as well as each other

  • Join the Finance Committee.  Review funding requests and make recommendations

  • Join the Fundraising Committee.  Be part of the team that plans and executes SPG fundraisers so we can support our Steller students.

** All volunteers must complete the ASD Volunteer Form annually.  (It only takes a moment.)

The mission of the Steller Parent Group is to promote involvement in school activities, to solicit address, and make recommendations regarding issues and polices facing the Steller Community, and to support fundraising activities and facilitate the disbursement of those funds. 

The Steller Philosophy is built on the idea of having input from the Three Pillars: Students, Staff, and Parents& Guardians.  There are many opportunities for community members – including students – to get involved.
