Steller flautist Bella L. just completed the busiest time of year as a musician. She had a concerto performance with the Alaska Youth Symphony on April 30, and played another concerto with the Anchorage Civic Orchestra on May 7. On top of that, Bella entered the State Solo/Ensemble Festival at UAA on May 6 and 7, and she was selected to participate for the Command Performance on the same evenings. “I’ve never seen a student who makes that much of commitment and dedication to music like Bella does,” said Mr. Toba, the band director. “I have no doubt in my mind that Bella is among the most accomplished high school musicians in Alaska, and I am so lucky to work with her.”
