Do you know a student in grades 5-12 who has volunteered during the past 12 months ?  All STUDENTS AT STELLER ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARD.  ONE MIDDLE SCHOOLER &ONE HIGH SCHOOLER  WILL BE CHOSEN BY THE PRINCIPLE BUT THE STUDENT  MUST APPLY!  THIS LOOKS GREAT ON YOUR RESUME OR COLLEGE APPLICATION.  DEADLINE TO APPLY ONLINE is MONDAY !

Greetings Steller Families,

We know how food can make an outing into a special event, so the food team is excited to put our creativity together to make this auction a night of harmonious fun and glee. With the auction just around the corner, the food team is soliciting help from families now!  The theme for the auction is Bebop to HipHop:  Music through the Ages.

Please Bring Something – We suggest delicious home-made, if possible, hors d’oeuvres or dessert-prepared to serve as individual servings, finger food. Please bring food to Steller on Saturday afternoon, November 10th, although we will accept food any time during the day.  Suggestions from students and the food team are: veggies, fruits, nuts, meats, cheeses, dips, chips, breads, and of course, any dessert that is ready to serve simply without needing utensils.  Key words here-finger foods.

Help for one hour-sign up, hurry, limited slots available– the night of the auction:

greeters/servers/restockers/set-up/clean up or preparing delicious finger foods for display.

If you can help or bring something, please call or email Jennifer Hall Jones at 345-3652 or  jhj@gci.com.  This will allow our team to have a schedule set up and a sense of quantity of foods.

Again, here is a list of suggestions, but if there is a tried and true recipe calling you, please share! Remember-please prepare the food so it is ready to serve in easy single servings.

The auction date, November 10, is fast approaching.  Some exciting items have been finding their way in to the check in area in the office, but we still need more of your fabulous donations.  Some of you probably already have your items ready but just haven’t quite gotten them in the door yet.  Please bring them in now!  Also, it’s not too late to approach your favorite businesses and ask them to support Steller, a great school that’s doing great things.

It would be awesome if all items could be at Steller by Monday, November 5 and absolutely no later than Thursday, November 8.
