Congratulations to all our Seniors!

Link to Steller Graduation Ceremony Tuesday, May 18 at 3:00pm

Steller Secondary graduation will be held at the Steller field on May 18th, from 3pm to 7pm.

Steller graduates can invite eight guests, but only four chairs will be provided, so extra guests should bring their own.
Everyone is required to wear masks.

We will also be hosting a live Zoom Webinar of the event, so the rest of the Steller community, friends, and family can join and watch.

We Raised 560 lbs of Food!

Hello everyone, together as a school Steller Secondary collected over 560LBS of food! Which is amazing that the Steller community could come together to collect so much food for the Food Bank of Alaska. Brianâ€™s first hour won the competition for most points.

Super Sweeper Draw Winners!

Seeds of Change Summer Garden Program

Are you looking for other day camp options for your child(ren) this summer? The Anchorage-based nonprofit Alaska Seeds of Change is looking to hold an interactive summer gardening program to teach youth about how to start, grow, and maintain fresh and local Alaskan produce. A special focus this year will be developing leadership skills.

Workshops will be every Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 to 1:30 starting May 25. No registration is necessary, feel free to drop in.

Selection of our New Principal

Dear Steller Families,

Dr. Bishop and Secondary Education are pleased to share the selection of Maria Hernandez as the new principal of Steller Secondary School for the 2021-22 school year.

Mrs. Hernandez brings a wealth of enthusiasm, experience, and knowledge to Steller. She is currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Benny Benson Secondary School and prior to her time at Benson, Mrs. Hernandez has served the Anchorage School District in many capacities including Project Management Supervisor, Acting Counselor Coordinator, and Counselor at Benson and Service HS.

Shortly, Steller families will receive a letter from Mrs. Hernandez introducing herself in her own words. Additionally, Mrs. Hernandez will spend the coming months working with the Steller community on a smooth transition into the next school year. She will also be walking the halls at Steller periodically so students can get to know her better as well.

Mrs. Hernandez is excited to lead Steller moving in the next school year and I am excited for you to get to know her as well.
