Steller closes at 3 pm TODAY Wednesday November 21 for Thanksgiving
School doors will be locked at 3 pm today, November 21, 2018, for the Thanksgiving holiday! Rides should be arranged to accommodate the closure.
Please make arrangements for your student to depart campus before 3 pm today.

Application Night at UAA is Friday, December 7, 4:30-8:00
UAA will be having an application night on Friday December 7 from 4:30-8:00 pm at the Rasmuson Hall (connected by skybridge to the Wells Fargo Sports Complex). During this time your students can come and get help filling out their application and the fee will be waived! This is a $50 savings, so please encourage any students interested in UAA to come.

Alaska Engineering Education Foundation (AEEF) Scholarships
Through AEEF, the Alaska Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE) funds scholarships for high school seniors who wish to pursue a degree in engineering. Scholarships are awarded state-wide and at the local level in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau and are funded by the local engineering communities.
- One $2,000 AEEF Scholarship from all state-wide applicants, awarded as $1,000 for two years.
- One $1,500 ASPE Scholarship from all state-wide applicants.
- One or more ASPE Regional Engineering Week (E-Week) scholarships that vary in quantity and
amount based on fundraising efforts in each of the three state regions: Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks. New this year, Anchorage E-Week will be awarding scholarships in two separate regions based on graduating enrollment by school districts (See Attachment 1 and Attachment 3 for more information). At a minimum, one $500 scholarship will be awarded in each region.
AEEF scholarships are limited to high school seniors pursuing a degree in engineering. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET) accredited engineering program at the college or university they attended. Funds awarded will be sent directly to the college/university financial aid office. Should scholarship winners not attend an ABET accredited engineering program within three years of the award, the scholarship may be forfeited.

COUNTDOWN TO AUCTION – 3 DAYS (Saturday)
IT’S JUST 3 DAYS TILL THE STELLER SECONDARY ANNUAL AUCTION! (Saturday) The Steller Parent Group is sponsoring this event. Money collected will go to help with Travel Scholarships and Intensive Fee Waivers, Souper Steller (lunch provided to all students and staff on selected Fridays), Passage Projects, Community Services Outreach Projects etc.
Come and help raise funds for these great Steller causes! Enjoy time with friends, bid on some wonderful items, and enjoy a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
