EED news release — Department Suspends Computer-based Testing

The Alaska Department of Education & Early Development made the decision today to suspended AMP testing and other assessments because of continued online connection problems resulting from the damaged cable. As you may have heard earlier this week, the statewide Alaska Measures of Progress (AMP) test experienced technical difficulties after a construction accident on Tuesday in Kansas damaged the fiber optic cable that connects to the test’s computer servers. ASD will not conduct any further AMP testing until the district is provided further direction from the State of Alaska. Read the state’s news release.

Thank you, Anchorage School District
