Amazon/Galapagos trip Meeting – Thursday 6:00 p.m., March 23rd

It is time!  I am hoping your students have told you about the travel intensive happening next winter! As part of the winter intensive for December 2017 Svetlana and Rosa have put together a trip to explore the ecological wonders of both the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon. There is an after school meeting for the Amazon/Galapagos trip this Thursday at 6:00 p.m., March 23rd.   It should take about an hour and will be hosted in Rosa’s Relo.  This is a parent meeting so anyone that is interested in this intensive should bring their parents as we go into the second phase of registration.  If you are excited about penguins, pink river dolphins, school exchanges and snorkeling, bring your parents so we can answer any questions you have!!!  If you or your parents cannot attend please contact me at: hohnstein_rosalie@asdk12.org for materials and information.

Romig Track and Field Deadline – March 28th

All paperwork must be submitted to Romig by lunch time on TUESDAY, MARCH 28th as we need time to process all of the 100+ student packets by the next day. We will not accept any after Tuesday.

The track and field season begins on Wednesday, March 29th — first practice.
All students need to have TEN practices here at Romig as a member of the Romig track and field team IN ORDER to be eligible to participate in a meet.  This is a district wide versus Romig expectation.

The season is shortened a bit due to the amount of snow this year AND the absence of the dome to hold initial meets indoors.
Please have parents refer to the on-line schedule, found at http://www.asdk12.org/activities/ms/trackfield for more specific information.

WHEN SICKNESS STRIKES: KNOW WHEN TO KEEP A CHILD HOME FROM SCHOOL

A parent’s decision to keep a child home from school when he or she is sick can sometimes be a difficult one. No parent wants to interrupt their child’s learning, and for some, keeping a child home means missing work or losing pay. However, if he or she has a serious illness such as influenza, it’s important for the child to stay home from school. Cold_or_Flu.pdf
