Anchorage Youth Court will be holding TWO new member classes for youth in grades 7 – 12 next year.  This is a great opportunity for your students to learn about Anchorage Youth Court’s juvenile diversion program and how they can help their community.

Winter Class: January 21 & 28 and February 4 & 11 at Service High School
Spring Class: April 29, May 6, 13, & 20 at West High School

Youth interested in AYC must take the class (four consecutive Saturdays) before they begin volunteering.  Students will learn about the court system and how to prepare to handle AYC court cases. After they take the class and become a new member, they can volunteer their time in trainings, adjudicating cases for their peers, and other volunteer opportunities throughout the community.

Deadline for the winter class: Tuesday, January 17.

Registration for the spring class begins February 1.

There is a $25 registration fee.  Low income waivers are available.
