I was selected to take part in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math.) Institute this summer. A group of fifty educators were selected to attend this week-long professional development experience, hosted at the world headquarters of Discovery Communications, just outside of Washington D.C. The week will be filled with guest speakers, field trips to leading institutions, and opportunities to collaborate with peers from across the nation. I am excited about this learning opportunity and look forward to representing Steller at the Institute.
