AG Announcements – 1/13/14

 8th grade class meeting in Marla’s room at noon tomorrow. We will be discussing goals for this upcoming semester.

Want to go on a biking adventure this fall? Want to brag to your friends that you biked from Steller all the way to Denali National Park!? You can if you join Mike and Jen on this Fall’s Bike to Denali Intensive. Don’t worry if you are not an avid biker, we will get you there. Come to an informational meeting this Wed at noon in Jen’s room. We will give you all the details. Again all levels of bikers are welcome.

There will be a meeting on Friday at noon for all students interested in representing Steller and doing a brief presentation at their previous grade school or middle school. Lunch will be provided. We will be visiting during the school day in the next 2-3 weeks. If you haven’t already signed up please let Dale know that you will be coming so that we have enough food. Location will be on the white board.

There will be senior meeting this Tuesday at noon in Ken’s room. We’ll finish planning for the winter prom, discuss the format for the proposed all-school meeting, and learn the guidelines and deadline for the graduation slide shows. See you there.

Students interested in being delegates to the Model United Nations should attend the meeting on Wednesday at noon in Ken’s room. Make sure you turn in your $25 fee to Jamie in the office for your half of the fees. See you Wednesday.

Good Morning, we are looking for shadow volunteers for the upcoming shadowing program beginning the week after our Open house at the beginning of February. We will need volunteers for am and pm sessions. The sign up sheet is in the office. Please see Michelle.

Students interested in the Costa Rica intensive should attend a brief informational meeting at noon today in Danielle and Ashley’s room.

There will be a meeting on Wednesday at lunch for all those interested in the fall intensive travel trip to New York City and Washington D.C. We will be reviewing the itinerary and discussing any changes we want to try and make.

Reminder: There is auction money to spend on special projects and student Passages. Grant applications are in the office and are due by the 23rd.

There will be an exploratory meeting this Wednesday at noon in Bob’s room, covering the possible trip to Australia and New Zealand. If you are interested, be ready to talk options.

Yearbook needs out of school activity pictures and out of sport pictures, we also need you winter intensive pictures. Please contact Svetlana jackson_lana@asdk12.org

The Winter Prom will be January 25th at Viking Hall from 8pm-Midnight. Tickets are $20 for one or $35 for a pair. The theme is THE GREAT GATSBY. The guest book is in the front office. GUESTS MUST BE A STUDENT WITH THE ANCHORAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT. NO EXCEPTIONS.Â
