AG Announcements – 9/12/11

9th graders, there is a class meeting at lunchtime on Tuesday in Ken’s room.  We will begin organizing for the auction on Nov.12.  We will have pizza for those who attend the meeting.

There will be a mandatory 8th grade class meeting tomorrow at noon in Danielle’s room. We will be discussing plans for our first fundraiser, the September dance.

TPC will have a meeting at noon on Wednesday in the MPR for potential new members.  Anyone wanting to try out is welcome.  We are looking for 6-7 new members.

News for the Battle of the Books 2012!
Books have arrived to the  library and teams for high school and for middle school students are being formed. If you wish to joint, please sign up to do so at the library. Donuts will be provided in every meeting.

Catcher in the Rye . . . Harry Potter . . . Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy . . . Every year, there are hundreds of attempts to remove books from schools and libraries. Celebrate YOUR freedom to read during Banned Books Week by participating in Steller’s Banned Books Reading at Title Wave on Wednesday, September 28th at 5:00pm. Students interested in participating should attend a brief informational meeting in Danielle’s room today at the start of lunch.

Intramural gym hockey sign up with Troy or in the hall on the poster. Please, you only need to sign up on one or the other. It is shaping up to be an exciting year, come join the fun, either to watch or play. Pick up games will start next Wednesday September 21st. Pick up games are open to all Steller staff and students.

Dance next Friday September 23rd! Deadline to sign up your guests is Tuesday, September 20th at noon!  Dance binder is in the office.
