Auction Update

This lovely framed panoramic photograph was created by Steller parent & photographer, Bill Heubner.  It depicts the Wonder Land mural outside Alayne’s classroom.  It measures 23” x 14” and will be featured at the Annual Steller Auction this Saturday, April 2.  Who will take it home?  Not the highest, or loudest, or craftiest bidder—no, only the fortunate winner of this year’s Heads & Tails game. Tickets will sell for $3 each, or you can double your odds for only $5.

Bill photographed other Steller murals for us last year, and we’ve had those photos made into notecards.  The Sophomore class will be selling the first limited run of a 10 mural set—the Nature series, at the auction, tomorrow.  Cards will sell for $2.50 each or a set of 10 for $20.  Our first printing secured only 25 copies of each card, but we can

take orders if more are needed.  Later next week, will follow a printing of both the Manimal series, and the Panorama series. Sometime in May, you can expect to see Steller Murals—the New series. The Live Auction portion tomorrow will feature the skills and talents of several of our 9th grade

students—like their classpresident pictured here, not only wearing one of the silent auction items, but demonstrating his leadership skills.  Students have donated service certificates good for babysitting, yard work, cooking, cleaning, musical performances, tennis lessons, tech-knowledgy, and other areas of expertise—for hours at a time, or maybe even a whole day.  We will be auctioning them to the highest bidder.

So come join us Saturday for the annual auction 6:30-9:30. Temple of the Bean will be open and offering their full menu, yearbooks will be available for order, and we will have a donation coat check service available in the lounge where you can “take your coat off & get your beach on.”   Admission is only $5 per person or $10 per family.
