Looking for something to add to your job résumé, college application, or scholarship folder?  A math competition is an easy way to impress colleges and get scholarships.  Tomorrow is the annual AMC test.  It is held in Jen’s room from 2:10-3:30.  See Jen today for details and to sign up!  Extra Credit available.  Seats are limited.

Volunteers for the Military Family Appreciation Fair at Begich Middle school wanted! The fair is from 1 to 4pm on Saturday , February 19th and they are looking for volunteers to set up , take down or help kids with crafts.

Middle School Marvals: the Spanish poetry and pie contest takes place at Clark Middle School on Saturday, February 26th and high school volunteers are needed to help middle school kids rehearse, find their way around , etc. If you would like to help, see Nina ASAP!

Preview Books,
If you checked out a preview book and promised Karen a review,  Please get them in.  Your reviews add to the online record of the book and help other users to select good books to read. Simply returning the book to the library is not helpful to the review process.  We really want student input on these books.  Do you want to read reviews  on only the books that Karen likes?
We are looking for students interested in presenting a 2-3 minute speech on  “The value of Steller and the impact it has made on my life,†to be presented at a ceremony honoring the founder of our school in late March.  See Linda if you are interested.
Steller’s Open House and Prospective Student Ice Cream Social will be held this Thursday, February 10, 2010 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.  See your advisor if you are interested in helping out.
The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet Wednesday at noon in Ken’s Room.
Ken and Danielle are planning an August intensive travel trip to Utah for a five-day, six-night canoe trip through Labyrinth Canyon on the Green River in Utah and a trip to Arches National Park. Please come to the planning meeting this Friday at noon in Ken’s room to get the particulars on dates, costs, and itinerary. This trip will provide maximum experience at reasonable cost.
