VI.     Old Business

A.     Advisory Group Notebooks—staff was working on this [Harlod stated that these were done and were in review with the staff]

B.     Parent Survey on Advisory Groups—working [reported that there was a Parent Group member who volunteered to take this on]

C.     Parent Contract—this was distributed as part of the registration packet—may be modified for next year to include contact info for AG [it was stated that it is unclear what should be done with these – some suggestions were to include the contracts in the student files]

D.     Academic Credit for student government participation

1.     Where do we stand with this now

2.     Reiteration of no-homework on meeting nights policy

3.     Committee—Ken, Taran, Eliza, Haleigh, Kaelyn, Cole, Lorryn, Corey, Harlod—will separate the homework policy and the credit policy

VII.     New Business

A.     Kitchen Committee—both Op Group & Parent Group are forming to establish guidelines for kitchen use.  Will report to Ad Board.—gathering volunteers.

VIII.     Announcements

A.     Parent Group – October 21, 2010, 6PM—Ken’s Room

A Musical Interlude provided by Steller Band under the direction of Mr. Toba and refreshments provided by Parent Group will take place in the Lounge, between the scheduled Parent Group & Ad Board Meetings

B.     Ad Board – October 21, 2010, 7PM—Danielle’s Room

C.     Banned books Oct.2—All day Book fair and reading of banned books (11AM-3PM) at Barnes & Noble with 20% of purchases credited to Steller.  They are looking for performers.

D.     Closeup (April 9-16, 2011) looking for more students.  Cost is $2,000.

E.     Raffle books are available for parents to sell.
