Hi there everyone! If you haven’t already heard, the new art teacher, Alayne has started a new club dedicated to the Arts. It is not just painting, sculpture, visual art, etc. but other art forms; such as poetry (spoken word or recitation), music of any kind, video production, and anything involving creative and artistic expression.

The goal of art club is to celebrate and share the student body’s artistic talents with the community. With your help, we can get the club off the ground for both your entertainment and ours.

We plan on having a consistent series of art shows that showcase both performance art and visual art in a coffee-house type setting. It will be very relaxed and laid-back, every second Friday of every month from 7-10 pm in the MPR and lounge. Due to scheduling conflicts in October, we will be having our first evening of the arts on Friday, November 12. We’re still accepting new members and it’s open to all grade levels! Planning meetings are on Tuesdays at 2:10 in the art room. All artistic talents are welcome with open arms. Whether you’re an audience member or an active participant, we hope to see you soon!
