STELLER SECONDARY BOOK FAIR AND BANNED BOOKS READ-OUT

THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!

Steller Secondary School and Barnes and Noble Booksellers are having a book fair this Saturday, October 2, 2010. Below is the schedule of events:

11:15 – 11:45 am Classical flute duet by Lorryn Wilhelm and Maya Heubner

11:45 – 12:00 A Special Appearance by Elvis!

12:00 – 12:30 Jonas Banta presents music for your listening pleasure on the saxophone, mandolin, and violin

12:30 – 1:00 pm Cai Doran and Krystal Griffin present guitar and song

1:00 – 2:45 pm. Banned Books Read-Out Loud!

2:45 – 3:00 p.m. Original Poetry Slam by Kaelyn WIlliams

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Face Painting for kids of all ages by Alayne and the Art Club

Please come and support Steller students at the book fair during these very special events. You can also get a head start on your holiday shopping this Saturday, October 2, during all store hours from 9 am through 11 pm. Steller will receive between 15-30 percent of all purchases made throughout the store, including not only books, music, dvds, and gifts, but their café as well–with one exception. The caveat is that customers that would like a portion of their purchases to be given back to Steller must say so at the register.

The café features yummy whole cheesecakes by The Cheesecake Factory that are available to take home frozen, as well as refrigerated by the slice! Don’t forget to mention Steller! A table of faculty wish list books for their classrooms will also be available for purchase. Don’t forget to mention Steller!

If you have family members living outside, you may also want to let them know that they can shop on-line during Saturday, October 2 until Tuesday, October 5, and a portion of their purchases will be counted towards Steller-as long as they include our book fair I.D.number 10300259-there is a flyer attached delineating the Barnes and Noble website and Steller’s book fair ID number, as a reminder.
