Steller Student volunteers are helping prepare lanterns for this community event to which all are invited:

6th Annual Remembering the Light Community-wide Memorial Lantern Lighting
Tuesday, October 5, from 6-9 pm
at the Alaska Native Heritage Center

This event is free and is co-sponsored by Hospice of Anchorage and Parents Reaching Out with generous support from the AK Native Tribal Health Consortium; the Alaska Native Heritage Center; Providence Palliative Care/NODA and Amedisys Hospice .  All are welcome!

This multicultural event features memorial lantern making from 6-7 pm followed by a program at 7 pm featuring guest speaker Chaplain Bert McQueen, Director, AK Police and Fire Chaplain Ministries and special Alaska Native dance and music performances.  We invite anyone who has lost a loved one or who cares for them to attend this special program.
