This is an excellent opportunity for those students who are artistically inclined.  I hope we all will encourage our students to stretch themselves and apply for this wonderful opportunity.

Invitation to Participate in this Year’s Competition

Congressman Don Young is pleased to invite your district to participate in this year’s Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery. We encourage all students in grades 9-12 to participate in this wonderful opportunity to engage your district in the arts.

Established by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982, the Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide annual event that allows high school students from all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories to showcase their artistic ability. The winning artwork from each Congressional district is displayed in an eleven month exhibit in the Cannon tunnel that leads into the U.S. Capitol. Will this year’s winner be one of your students?
