Parents, The AMP (Alaska Measures of Performance) testing of grades 7-10 will replace the SBA’s (Standard Based Assessments) given in the month of April. Science SBA’s will still be given to 8th and 10th grade students. The tests are computer based and have a section of Language Arts and of Math. A majority of our students took part a week ago in a practice test for the experience of the type of questions and tools available (highlighting, different calculators, etc). The district was also testing our network, concluding a two year IT project, which handled the traffic as expected. The Steller schedule for testing is being finalized; students will be testing by grade and by IEP ( Individual Education Plan) if applicable.  See parent guide HERE .
